METHODS USED TO COLLECT DATA:

·        We decided to narrow the information we are going to talk about for Google

·        It was either between profit or revenue, but we chose revenue because we found good data/statistics

·        Google Revenue is constantly changing depending on various situations

·        Also, the main aspects that affected the revenue were Google websites, Google network websites total advertising revenues licensing, and many others

·        We decided to stay more focused on advertisement and the seasons because those two aspects made the most change in the revenue over the years

·        Since 2003, Google revenue began to constantly increase

·        Google did not gain that much revenue when it first came out in 2001 because it was not made open to the public

·        In 2003, that is the year when Google began making revenue (it was in the thousands)

·        Last year in 2010, the revenue was in the millions. The revenue is continuing to grow.

CONCLUSION:

  •      The driving question of our project: "How does Google make money, and how much?" was easily answered through this project.

  •      Google is the internet giant. Since 1998, thousands of jobs have been created under its name, and millions of products and services have been made available to the public.

  •       All the while, Google has collected millions in revenues due to the heightened popularity of the internet since the turn of the century.

  •       Sergey Brin and Larry Page have gone above and beyond the need to just access information; they have instigated the creation of a world in its own: the world wide web.
